I wrote the poem above many years ago in memory of my daughter who was stillborn the day after my due date. They say that grief is love with nowhere to go. Having somewhere to write to your baby, your thoughts over time and journal your grief journey can be very cathartic. Looking back, it can help you to realise both how far you’ve come, and also the new room you’ve made in your heart to house that grief (love). They will never be forgotten and will always be held so very closely in your heart.

Can I change the poem inside to be special to me?
Yes, absolutely! You are more than welcome to have a different poem or text inside that is personal to you. You can also choose to have nothing at all on the inside cover. Just let me know in the personalisation box. The maximum character count for your own text is 350 (including spaces).

How is the A5 notebook personalised?
This journal is personalised via engraving to the outside and foil printing to the inside cover. After lots of testing, I have found that engraving can capture the most detail with foot and handprints.

Pens
Each personalised baby loss grief notebook comes with a pen that complements your chosen notebook colour with either a silver or gold trim.

How quickly can I expect to receive my notebook after ordering?
I would give approx 4-5 days from when I receive your baby's prints. This engraved journal takes a little more time to create, as I need to work on the image you send over to me to ensure that I can properly capture all of the important little details via engraving. Whilst I do remove the background and obvious smudges, etc, I will keep your baby's precious prints as authentic as possible 🤍 

How will my notebook arrive?
Every journal is tucked inside a "The Self-care Journal Co." envelope – perfect for giving or keeping safe. My standard postage is via Royal Mail Tracked 24.

Are the pages inside the personalised notebook blank?
Our personalised baby memorial notebooks are blank with lined pages ready to be filled with letters and thoughts to a precious baby. If you are looking for a more structured grief journal with prompts to help, you can find our guided grief journal here.

For my journals that are blank inside, I always include a bookmark that links to a page with grief writing prompts and this includes ones especially following the loss of a baby.
